Вчера в горисполкоме состоялось чествование олимпийского чемпиона, почётного гражданина города Гомеля Леонида Гейштора.

Почётную грамоту городского исполнительного комитета 75-летнему юбиляру вручила заместитель председателя горисполкома Елена Кличковская. Были вручены Леониду Григорьевичу цветы и поздравительные адреса и от других организаций. Всё заслуженно. 51 год назад Леонид Гейштор в каноэ-двойке с брестчанином Сергеем Макаренко на озере Альбано, что в окрестностях Рима, на дистанции 1000 метров завоевал первое белорусское олимпийское золото.
