В Ветке прошёл традиционный XIV Международный турнир по интеллектуальным играм на «Кубок "Ветковских раскольников"».

В нём приняли участие более 20 «незвёздных» молодых команд из Беларуси и Украины. Кубком, учреждённым игроками некогда знаменитой команды ветковских «знатоков» специально для того, чтобы могли себя проявить начинающие, на этот раз завладели юные интеллектуалы из гомельской СШ № 61 (тренер Александр Вороненко).

На втором месте - команда областного Дворца творчества детей и молодёжи (тренер Тамара Климович), на третьем - ребята из Гомельской СШ № 69 (тренер - Олег Лейнов).
